Chihuahua Breed

 is, you never know what you will get as far as color, or coat type (Long or Smooth.) Every single puppy is an individual personality waiting to please you. Some Breeders raise dogs in kennels where they are not subjected to human activities. These pups are born on my couch, spend the first 3 to 4 weeks in one of our bedrooms, then are moved to the kitchen where potty-training begins. First we use potty-pads on the floor, graduating to following the adult dogs out of the doggie-door.
 
     Baby Chihuahuas require constant supervision. Being raised "Underfoot" teaches them the skills they need for survival in a world where everything is Way bigger than they are. Chihuahua Breeders learn to do what is commonly called, "The Chihuahua Shuffle" so little ones are not stepped on quite as often. When the rare occasion happens, that we should all leave our home, we do confine our puppies to a smaller space, such as, the laundry room, or we use an exercise pen in the dining room to help encourage better use of the potty pads, and to keep them out of trouble. They are not left outside in kennels where they would be vulnerable to the elements or scared.

Each puppy will come to you with a puppy kit which will include about 2 weeks worth of food you can mix with the diet of your choice, a couple of chewys, a few potty pads to help with the potty training transition, and your puppys favorite toy or blanket with the smell of home on it to help your puppy feel more secure in his or her new environment.
